Golden Honey Recipe


  • 100 grams (3.5 oz) of raw honey
  • 1 tablespoon turmeric powder
  • A pinch of black pepper (in order to optimize turmeric’s absorption and bio-availability)
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon powder
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg powder
  • 1/2 tsp ginger powder
  • Last 4 ingredients can be 2 to 3 drops of essential oils

For additional health benefits you can also add:

  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 2 tablespoons unfiltered raw apple cider vinegar

How to make Golden Honey

  1. Add the turmeric powder to dry ingredients.
  2. If using essential oils combine them with raw honey.
  3. In a small frypan melt about 1 level dessert spoon of coconut oil.
  4. Once melted, add dry ingredients and mix into a smooth paste.
  5. Add more oil if required to keep the paste smooth. Heat for short time. The mixture will simmer and go darker brown quickly.
  6. Mix wet ingredients together in a small jar and then combine the cooked ingredients mixing thoroughly.
  7. Store in fridge.

While consuming, try to keep the golden honey mixture in your mouth until it has completely dissolved!

Tips and instructions for use

  • The Golden Honey blend can also be used as a toast topping. Spread a generous helping of honey-turmeric-black pepper paste over your whole-grain toast and enjoy it for breakfast.
  • Or, simply add it to your green smoothie.
