How to take your Activated Honey internally to help reduce symptoms of mouth ulcers, sore throats and coughs. Protect yourself against infections such as flu and Covid by adding another layer of armour. Reduce inflammation in those sinuses, which are the first line of defence. Boost the immune system of the mouth, throat, gut and body in general.
Our Priority is to make the most of the natural healing properties of honey. So……..
NO HEAT.
NO PASTEURISATION.
Not all honeys are super honeys
To further improve honey properties, bees have a special relationship with some common Australian native heath plants, which greatly magnify the antibiotic and antibacterial impacts. These activated honeys come in a range of strengths.
Furthermore, we have to coat the mouth, throat and some of the maxillary sinuses with honey for as long as possible.
The PROCESS is simple. There are not many ingredients, minimal heating to bloom the gelatine, and a silicone mould.
The product is as tasty as you like it since it is easily modified. A great way to involve the kids in something they will need to take.
You will need
- 1/2 cup of “Tea”.
- 2 tablespoons of gelatine powder
- 2 tablespoons of honey
- Silicon moulds
- Eye dropper or beaker
What to do
- 1/2 cup of “Tea”. Either fresh as in lemon, ginger and cider vinegar or a herbal tea bag of your choice. You may like to come up with other ideas, like adding cinnamon or carefully a drop or two of essential oils (e.g. Eucalyptus Oil).
- Let the tea cool. (Have tea at room temperature or not much hotter.)
- Add 2 tablespoons of gelatine powder or a 1:1 vegan alternative. Shake the gelatine uniformly over the surface of the tea. Do not stir. Let sit to bloom, waiting approximately 10 minutes.
- Use medium-low heat, stirring and heating, until completely smooth, taking around 3 minutes.
- Allow to cool to room temperature.
- Add 2 tablespoons of honey. For best results for oral use, a lower MGO is recommended (e.g. 150 to 400 MGO so as to save money and the higher levels are more commonly used for topical applications like wounds and burns).
- Pour or dropper into silicon moulds. It makes 1 cup up so you can test your moulds for this volume of liquid.
- Refrigerate for about an hour so well and truly set.
- Store in an airtight container for up to 1 week. I keep mine in the fridge.
- Shelf life about a week, twice that in the fridge and bees wax wraps help even more.
